WELCOME TO FOUKE HIGH SCHOOL!
From the Principal:
Dear Fouke High School Students and Families,
I thoroughly enjoyed my first year as principal of Fouke High School. We are working hard to get ready for the 2019-2020 school year as we speak. My passion for education and supporting the success of all students has been shaped over the past 30 years as a band director, teacher, assistant principal, and principal. In each of my roles, I have sought to ensure the success of each student and the school by providing the best instructional and extracurricular opportunities and supports possible. Similarly, it is my number one priority at FHS to ensure that every student receives a well-rounded education.
We are going to really focus on attendance this school year. Attendance Awareness Month is September, but the campaign to end chronic absences will start August 15th! It is a bigger problem than you probably think. When we reduce chronic absences we improve graduation rates, increase academic achievement and give young people the best chance at success in their adult life. I do hope you will join our Attendance Campaign Awareness and make a difference in our community. Let’s do it! http://bit.ly/1oqfID7
We will also be implementing some new discipline procedures this year that we hope will help all students be successful. I look forward to a great year ahead of us! Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions, concerns, and ideas that you would like to discuss.
Have a great rest of the summer! It is a great day to be a Panther!!

ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE RECYCLING PROGRAM:
This is another recycling program that the Fouke High School Conservation Club learned about, and we wanted to share the information with you. The Appalachian Wildlife Refuge in Skyland, North Carolina, accepts old mascara wands which they use to clean injured and orphaned animals at the refuge. The refuge asks that you first clean, and dry, the used wands before placing them in a plastic bag for shipping. Their shipping address and website are listed below and there are links to their wand recycling form and informational poster. Thanks in advance for taking part in this program and please feel free to pass this information along to others who you believe might be interested in participating.
