Toy Donations

We are asking students to donate new toys for families in need this Christmas.  All toys should be placed in the large “Gift Box” outside the high school office.  Please leave the toys unwrapped. The gifts will be wrapped by volunteers and placed under the big Christmas tree for the Winter Fair event.

Service Learning Opportunity - Coat Drive
Service learning opportunity - The Coat Drive will be December through January. One coat equals 2 hrs, and a jacket or hoodie equals 1 hr. Turn in items to Mrs. Tweedy.
Close-Up Fundraiser

The Close Up Program is in the process of raising money for a trip to Washington D.C.  We have Fouke Panther Lanyards for $5.00. If you would like to buy one please contact Ms. Cross at the central office or Ms. Nadeau at the high school.  Thanks in advance for all your help.

Band Honors

Fouke Band Students earned recognitiion at the ASBOA Region 2 Junior High All-Region Band and Senior High All-Region Zazz Band Auditions held Saturday, December 1st, at Lake Hamilton HS in Hot Springs.  Honors Earned included:  

Junior Band:  Altelrnate Tuba

2nd Band:  9th chair clarinet, 3rd chair trumpet, 11th chair trumpet, 5th chair trombone, and 6th chair percussion

1st Band:  4th chair tuba and 1st chair alto saxophone

Senior Jazz Bands:  Alternate Tenor Saxophone

2nd Band:  5th chair trumpet and 1st chair bass guitar

1st Band:  3rd chair trumpet;  In addition, this student qualified to audition for the Arkansas All-State Jazz Band in February!

There were over 1,000 students competilng Saturday, so this is a huge honor for our students.  We are proud of them for representing our school and community in such a positive manner!

 

SNOWMAN TREES

Fouke EAST is sponsoring our annual snowman tree.  The Snowman Tree project allows us to help those in need within our  community. Snowmen will be available at each campus for you to choose.  We are asking for toys and PJ’s this year. If you are not able to get a Snowman, you may donate items and we will match the item up with children in need. Please attach the snowman or number to the gift(s)  when returned. Snowmen will be available in each campus office. Please return all donations by December 11th. Thank you for helping to support our community.

Conservation Club News

Starting December 3rd, the Fouke High School Conservation Club will begin wearing their conservation club t shirts.  Please join us on Tuesday's by wearing your favorite ecology t shirt.

1st Annual FHS Winter Fair
  • The 1st Annual FHS Winter Fair will happen on Friday, December 14, from 12:45-3:20.  The event will be held in the high school parking lot. Booths will be set up with free games and a variety of food items that can be purchased as well as karaoke, a scavenger hunt, and lots of giveaways. We will share more details later!

ATTENDANCE!
  • Your attendance is very important and several of you are getting close to missing too many days and losing credit.  Get to school and be on time.

Library Books Due

Students, please check the library fine list and get that taken care of . Turn in your overdue books. In addition to attendance and grade requirements, you must take care of library fines and cafeteria charges in order to qualify for semester test exemptions.

Fouke High School is a closed campus!

Students, Fouke High School is a closed campus - remember if you drive to school you may not go back into your vehicle until 3:19 - you may no longer drive to Athletics, Ag, FACS or anywhere once you arrive at school.

Driving on Campus
  • Students if you drive to school make sure you have gotten your parking tag from Officer McClure.  Driving on campus is a privilege and the way in which you enter & leave the parking lot each day is being monitored.  If you drive recklessly your driving privileges will be suspended.

Fouke High School Conservation Club
  • Please help us to put trash in its place. The Fouke High School Conservation Club is promoting a campaign to help keep our campus free of trash - Everyone Join In!

No Blankets Please!
Students as the weather is beginning to get cold Ms. Nadeau want to make sure everyone stays warm so if you need a coat or jacket please let her, Ms. Oliver or someone you are close to know. They will make sure to take care of your needs. With that being said please do not walk around school with blankets. If you are going on a trip that is fine to carry with you on the bus but they are not allowed in your classes, hallways or at lunch.
Parking Passes
  • Students who need a parking pass may see Officer McCLure second period in his office.  Teachers please make sure before you send a student that they have their paperwork .

Reminder - Water Only!
  • Students be reminded that you can only have water bottles out in the building to drink.  You will be ask to throw away anything else.
